27 weeks

This week little bear was the size of a head of cauliflower (about 16 inches, 2.5 pounds). He can now open and close his eyes, and he sleeps at regular intervals.
This week I was able to feel very clearly when he had hiccups. It was a really weird feeling, but very cool.
I also learned that like Mommy and Daddy, little bear loves celtic music. He gets so excited whenever mom sings that she becomes out of breath from all his sweet movements. He still gets really excited when daddy comes home and he hears his voice. He loves his daddy already.
This past week was sort of eventful. My heart palpitations got a little stronger and on Tuesday, I hyperventilated while going through a little episode of heart palpitations which lead to fainting. I didn't fall on anything, baby is okay and I am okay. Nothing to worry about. My heart is just working overtime and I should have breathed through it more calmly.
I got a filling redone on a molar this week. They used the safest anesthetic they had on me I think it was called Lidocaine. Anyway, after only one shot I was completely numb and didn't feel a thing. Usually when I get fillings and they use novacaine on me, they have to do 3-4 shots to get me numb "enough" so that it doesn't hurt too much to get the filling done.
Then I ran out of Zofran, one of my nausea meds, on Saturday night. I tried to call into the pharmacy but I was apparently out of refills and had to call my doctor for more, but neither of my doctors answered. So all day yesterday I was extremely nauseous and sick feeling the whole day. Didn't vomit, but had nausea pains. Today I feel the same way. I'm waiting for the doctors office and pharmacy to open so I can finally get relief.
My father in law came into town this weekend and gave us our first baby stuff, a little shirt and shorts and a couple cute receiving blankets. I was really happy and excited to get them. I love baby stuff!
Other than that not much else happened, like always I am just so busy with schoolwork. But this coming week (Week 28) is the first official week of the third trimester. We are in the home stretch! Can't wait to meet my sweet baby boy (and I can't wait to NOT BE PREGNANT ANYMORE!!!)
