9 weeks

9 weeks

Baby Meyers is the size of a grape!

I have a small infection, but it seems to be going away with the antibiotics prescribed by my midwife last week. My nausea has been so bad lately that any food made me sick. The mention of any food also made me sick. But this morning (day 2 of week 9) I felt noticeably better. I still feel rather queasy and lightheaded, but I can tell that it's doing better.

C R A V I N G S
Right now I'm craving watermelon (like always), crab legs with melted butter, and roasted chipotle tomato salsa (world table brand).
The weirdest craving I've had so far I think is actually not that weird. When I was in my 5th or 6th week, I craved watermelon so much. I went through 4 full size watermelons by myself in a week! My husband says I haven't craved anything too weird yet. OH! And nacho cheese. I crave it constantly.

The baby bump begins!

A couple weeks ago (Week 7) is when I finally just gave in to the fact that I am growing around my belly. My husband told me to go find some maternity clothes that I like. I went to old Navy (Memorial Day sale! :D) and got two shirts, a skirt and a pair of jeans for under $40.
While trying on these clothes, I noticed that Baby Meyers is also growing! I have a bump! (pictured left)
I will probably do another bump picture on my 10 weeks post next week.

~ Mother's Day 2015 ~

We talked about when we wanted to make a public announcement that we are expecting. I thought it would be really cute to announce it on Mother's Day. My dad took our engagement pictures over a year ago and they turned out pretty good, so we asked him to do this picture for us. The sun was a little off, but as always, his photography skills were on point :)
We posted this picture on facebook late at night the night before Mother's Day. By the time we woke up and looked, tons of people saw it and commented. It was so nice to read all the sweet comments from our friends. I am so excited to be a mommy, and my wonderful husband is beyond excited to be a daddy.

That's how it's going so far. We decided to do genetic testing during week 11. That is also when we will do our first ultrasound. I'm excited to share those ultrasounds. With the genetic testing, it's just blood tests and an ultrasound. My midwife says nothing to fret. Although, I did have some pretty significant needle shock from the blood tests at my first prenatal appointment...

Also, our one year wedding anniversary is in 15 days! I've been married to my beloved for almost a year already. Time has flown by. 2 years ago I never thought I'd be married in a year. And 1 year ago, I never thought I'd be pregnant a year later. <3
